Web3 Mastercard

Last updated 9 July 2026

What Is the Web3 Mastercard?

The PIN Network Web3 Mastercard is a virtual, reloadable prepaid debit card accepted at 25+ million Mastercard locations worldwide. It is a personal debit card designed for ongoing use — distinct from the single-use gift cards (Prezzy, Activ Visa, True Rewards/IGO) also available in the app.

Issued by: Immersve (ABN 93 658 192 057, AFSL No. 545925)
Distributed by: Takeoff Media Limited (Authorised Representative No. 1313795)

Availability

Currently available to PIN Network users in New Zealand and Australia only. Expansion to the USA and Europe is in development (timeline not specified).

How to Apply

  1. Ensure your app is up to date (Google Play or the iOS App Store)
  2. Tap Cards in the bottom menu bar
  3. Apply via the Immersve card screen
  4. Complete additional KYC verification with Immersve (one-time; separate from your initial PIN Network KYC)
  5. Add funds and activate

The card is ready within approximately 10 minutes after activation.

KYC and Eligibility

  • You must complete KYC with your initial PIN Network signup and a separate one-time KYC with Immersve (the card provider)
  • You must meet eligibility requirements in the General Terms of Use
  • AML compliance is mandatory

The double KYC is required because the Web3 Mastercard is managed by a third-party provider (Immersve). The process is seamless and similar to the initial signup verification; it only needs to be done once.

Card Features

  • Virtual card only — no physical card available
  • Reloadable: top up and reload multiple times
  • Multiple cards: generate additional cards on-the-go and name each uniquely
  • Settlement currency: USDC (transactions display in USD; local currency display is in development)

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my balance show USDC? USDC is the settlement currency for the Web3 Mastercard. All transactions — including top-ups and spending — are processed in USDC (displayed as USD) as required by the card provider.

Why are transactions in USD, not NZD or AUD? Since transactions are settled in USDC on the blockchain, spending is recorded in USD. Local currency display is being developed.

Why does a top-up take up to 10 minutes? Funds transfer from the PIN Network to the card provider via a blockchain smart contract. This process can take up to 10 minutes.

Can I share my card with someone else? No. Mastercard's terms and conditions prohibit card sharing. Each PIN Network user can apply for their own Web3 Mastercard.

What should I do if I see an unauthorised transaction? Select the Report button at the bottom of the transaction in the app. This redirects you to the support site to submit a ticket.

Can I order a physical card? Not at this time. The Web3 Mastercard is available as a virtual card only.

How is this different from other PIN Network cards? The Web3 Mastercard is a reloadable personal debit card. Prezzy, Activ Visa, and True Rewards/IGO cards are single-use and better suited as gift cards.
