How to Accept Payments
Merchants can accept payments via:
- Mobile app with QR code scanning
- Static QR codes at the point of sale
- Online via Shopify integration
- Email or PDF payment links
- Point-of-sale system integrations: Lightspeed, Today Software, POS Anywhere, Sipo PoS, Salespoint
- Bill Pay payee option (via bill.payitnow.io)
No equipment is required beyond a mobile device. Staff can use personal devices; static QR codes are available as an alternative.
Settlement
- Digital assets are instantly converted to local currency (NZD or AUD) at the moment of transaction — the price locks at the transaction point, eliminating volatility risk
- Payouts are deposited into the business bank account daily
- Merchants can optionally choose to receive settlement in any supported digital asset, and can switch between cash and crypto at any time
Application Process
Submit an application online. A team member will be in touch; merchants can be ready to accept payments within a few hours. KYC and KYB (Know Your Business) details must be completed and verified before payments can be enabled.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any chargeback risks? No. Blockchain technology eliminates the risk of chargebacks from payment providers. All refunds require merchant approval and are processed by the merchant. PIN does not process transactions on behalf of customers or merchants.
What if the crypto price drops after a customer pays? The purchase price is locked instantly at the point of transaction. You receive dollar-for-dollar value with no cryptocurrency volatility risk.
What happens during a power cut or EFTPOS outage? PIN functions independently of both the banking and EFTPOS networks. Providing there is an active internet connection (e.g. mobile data), PIN continues to function normally during a power or EFTPOS outage.
How is tax handled when accepting crypto? Assets are converted to fiat currency at point of sale, so there is no complicated crypto tax process. Treat income as you would any other payment. Consult an accountant for specifics.
Can I manage multiple store locations? Yes. You can use a single account for all locations, or set up separate accounts per store.
Can I settle in crypto instead of cash? Yes. PIN can settle in any supported digital asset. You can switch between cash and crypto settlement at any time — let the team know your preference during sign-up.
